house at the junction 6"x 8" oil on panel |
Just finished this 6" x 8" painting of an old cape at the junction of Routes 166 and 199 in Castine, Maine. I drive by this spot a few times a week, and have always been impressed by the strong contrast of light and shadow - particularly the luminosity of the flag back-lit by the afternoon sun.
