I was in the OC today on business, so I decided to beat the heat and go to Laguna Beach for a late afternoon plein air session. I found Crescent Bay Point Park in North Laguna - my first time there. I was impressed by the rugged coastal cliffs and rock formations, and the late afternoon sun provided some dramatic lighting of the sharp cliff edges. Above is a shot of the painting still on the pochade box.
