Shop Small on Small Business Saturday

First there was Black Friday, then Cyber Monday. In 2010, American Express founded SMALL BUSINESS SATURDAY to help businesses with their most pressing need — getting more customers. Small businesses are the social backbone of the community and make important contributions to the financial vitality of their towns.

SMALL BUSINESS SATURDAY is the day we celebrate the SHOP SMALL movement – informing the community of the many independent merchants in their town and encouraging people to shop at their local brick and mortar small businesses, restaurants, boutiques and art galleries on the Saturday after Thanksgiving. The single day has grown into a powerful movement, with more and more shoppers and small businesses participating in the event every year. This year, the big day is Nov 29. American Express Card Members can register for a special money back promotion when they SHOP SMALL on SMALL BUSINESS SATURDAY.

By making a purchase at an independent art gallery this Saturday, you support not only an artist but the cultural and creative community in your town and across the country.

Small businesses are there everyday for you. On November 29, will you be there for them?
